For Friday I'm linking up with Smart and Trendy Mom's Social Parade Follow Friday Blog~Hop! This is a great chance to make new friends and find new blogs!I found this recipe in my favorite cookie cookbook and you know how we love chocolate chip cookies at my house! I loved the idea of maple syrup and honey! I couldn't really taste the maple syrup in these cookies but they are a wonderful cakey type cookie and the family ate them up. This is a good recipe to have on hand if you're out of sugar and need a cookie! Give it a try and let me know what you think of them!
Honey Maple Cookies
1 cup shortening, I used butter
Honey Maple Cookies
1 cup shortening, I used butter
3/4 cup honey
3/4 maple syrup
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl whisk all the dry ingredients.
In a mixer beat the honey, maple syrup and shortening for 2 minutes. Beat in eggs then dry ingredients and chocolate chips. Drop by cookie scoop onto cookie sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cool on cookie racks.
