Raspberry Jello and Hand Warmers and Gloves

These are some gloves I did for Sloan. I took a pair of gloves and added the tops of mismatched socks to them. We thought they were kind of fun, and Sloan says they are nice and warm! I found the directions over at one of my favorite blogs, Ruffles and Stuff!

Then we decided to just use the pieces of socks sewn together to meg hand warmers. These were fun. If you make some just make sure that the sock pieces that you use on both ends have the sock binding. It doesn't matter if the socks are different sizes, just pin and pull and sew, it works great! I cut a little hole for the thumbs and zigzagged around the openings.

I found this recipe over at Stone Creek Market, Sandra is doing a pantry challenge and this looked really yummy. I didn't have any lemon jello ( She calls it Lemon Jello) so I used raspberry and I left out the grated Parmesan cheese that you sprinkle over the cool whip topping. This was really good, and the kids loved it!

Raspberry Jello

1 6-ounce box raspberry jello
1 cup boiling water
1/2 cup mayonnaise
6-8 ice cubes, my ice maker isn't working so I used clean snow
1 8-ounce can crushed pineapple
1/2 8-ounce container frozen whipped topping

Topping

Remaining 1/2 container frozen whipped topping

Put jello powder in a mixing bowl and add boiling water, stir to dissolve. Add ice cubes and stir until dissolved. Beat in mayonnaise. Add pineapple and 1/2 container of frozen whipped topping, stirring to blend. Pour into jello mold or large clear glass dish. Refrigerate until set. Top with remaining whipped topping and sprinkle.
