Chocolate Chip Cookie Muffins

I found this recipe the other day over at Sweet Basil and had to try it. Sloan loves chocolate chip muffins and chocolate chip cookies. This recipe is a little different than my chocolate chip muffins. It has brown sugar and melted butter which just made it sound too yummy!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Muffins

2 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup white sugar
1/3 cup light brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
2/3 cup milk
½ cup butter, melted and cooled
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 package semi sweet chocolate chips (or less)

Heat the oven to 400 degrees. Grease 12 cup muffin tin. In a large bowl whisk the dry ingredients.

In another bowl stir together eggs, milk, butter and vanilla until well blended. Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour the milk mixture into the well and stir until well combined. Lightly stir in chocolate chips.

Spoon batter into muffins tin. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Remove from the oven and allow to cool for 5 minutes
