Cheddar Biscuits

These make up really fast since you don't need to roll them out. They taste like the ones from Red Lobster!

Cheddar Biscuits

1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1/4 teaspoon smoky paprika
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1/4 cup shortening
1 cup milk
1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

In a large bowl whisk the flour and spices. Cut in the shortening with a pastry blender. Mix in the cheese. Stir in the milk. Mixture will be sticky. Drop onto a cookie sheet. Bake for 10-14 minutes or until golden.
