Everyday Waffles

Don't forget to sign up to win this cute little Songberrie necklace! All you have to do is follow my blog, be sure and let me know you follow. You can find all the rules here!

This was my grandma's cookbook. She would cut out the recipes from Better Homes and Garden magazines and add them to her cookbook. I love this cookbook because she wrote little notes on the recipes. I think it's good to write in your cookbooks. I like to put a star and the date if I really like a recipe. My memory isn't so good and I don't always remember if I've tried a recipe, so the star really helps! This is a good waffle recipe that was in my grandma's cookbook.

Everyday Waffles

1 3/4 flour
1/2 salt
3 teaspoons baking powder
2 eggs, separated
1 1/4 cups milk
1/2 cup oil

Heat a waffle iron. In a bowl whisk the dry ingredients. Add the egg yolks, oil and milk and mix.
Whip the egg whites and fold them in.

Cook on hot waffle iron according to manufacturer's directions.
