Cinnamon Buns for Breakfast---Yum!

I found this recipe over at Abby Sweets and had to make it for my kids. They love scones and these sounded so yummy with butter and cream and cinnamon! Are you drooling yet? These mix up really fast and make a lot. The kids loved them cold after school, and they heated them up for dessert later. Did I tell you that both my kids are on the swim team, so they get super workouts everyday, otherwise, I wouldn't let them eat so many sweets!

Cinnamon Buns

3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, cut into chunks
2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs, well beaten
3/4-1 cup cream

Cinnamon Glaze

2 cups powdered sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 tablespoons butter, melted
milk

Heat oven to 425 degrees.

In a large bowl whisk the dry ingredients. Cut in the butter with a pastry blender. With a wooden spoon add the eggs, vanilla and 3/4 cup of cream. Mix until it just comes together adding more cream if needed.

Scoop onto a cookie sheet with a 1/4 cup ice cream scoop. Bake 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Immediately drizzle glaze over hot scones.

Cinnamon Glaze

In a bowl mix the cinnamon, powdered sugar, butter and enough milk to make a nice glaze.
