Work For Me Wednesday and Skillet-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies
I just wanted to share some great things you can do with conditioner! I use it on my legs as a shaving gel, it's super cheap and I like not having to buy lots of different products! I also mix about a tablespoon of conditioner in a spray bottle of water to make a hair de-tangler. It also keeps my hair from having the fly always. Just go to We Are That Family to see what others are up too!
I was poking around at some blogs the other day and came across this different way to cook chocolate chip cookies, in a cast iron skillet! Well, I just had to try that. I love to make any kind of bar cookie because I don't have to keep taking them in and out of the oven. Now I'll have to run out and get some ice cream to go with it! Here is where I found the recipe - Pinkbites.
Skillet-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 large egg
2 teaspoons pure vanilla
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups (about 9oz) mixed milk and semi-sweet chocolate chips
Cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes. Add the egg and vanilla and beat well. Add the flour, soda and salt, and mix until just combined. Stir in the chips.
Transfer dough to a 10-ovenproof skillet (I used cast iron) and press to flatten, covering bottom of pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes or until golden. Don't over bake, it will continue to cook a few minutes out of the oven. Transfer to a wire rack to cool, 15 to 20 minutes. Serve warm with ice cream!
