Each Life That Touches Ours For Good~A Song For Sunday

What excuses do we make for not following the Lord? How long will we procrastinate the day of our salvation? What will you give in exchange for your soul? None of us knows how long we have on this earth. None of us knows when our time will come. I am left to ponder what I have done with my life. When it will be all said and done, it doesn’t matter how rich or poor we are. It doesn’t matter how talented or beautiful. What matters and what will last long after we are gone is the cheerful happiness we spread to everyone around us, the lives we touch and help and our powerful example of Jesus Christ that will live on in the hearts of those we touch. These are the things that really matter.

Each Life That Touches Ours for Good

By~Karen Lynn Davidson

Each life that touches ours for good
Reflects thine own great mercy, Lord.
Thou sendest blessings from above
Through words and deeds of those who love.

What greater gift dost thou bestow,
What greater goodness can we know
Than Christ-like friends, whose gentle ways
Strengthen our faith, enrich our days.

When such a friend from us departs
We hold forever in our hearts
A sweet and hallowed memory,
Bringing us nearer, Lord, to thee.

For worthy friends whose lives proclaim
Devotion to the Savior's name,
Who bless our days with peace and love,
We praise thy goodness Lord above.

I was singing praises on the beach yesterday morning. All alone with the surf and the wind, I could make as much noise as I wanted. Singing to the Lord is privilege and a blessing to my heart.

Today, I am working on a tag linking your blog and mine. Things move slowly here in the outislands, but it will post later today. Hope you enjoy the game.
