Design a Blueprint for Success in 2011

                       image

The New Year is just around the corner and plans are already being made for a “new you.” Starting January 1, 2011, you’re finally going to become that motivated productive, healthy and happy person you’ve always wanted to be….right? Too often we set lofty goals for the New Year but then fail to achieve them.

Prominent Los Angeles-based personal trainer and life coach Dennis Grounds says the first step in creating (and fulfilling) your upcoming New Year’s resolutions are to create a 2011 Life Blueprint.

Just as an architect draws a blueprint when creating a house, an individual can design a blueprint for the New Year, making conscious and detailed decisions about the structure of the year ahead.

When designing your blueprint, create personal goals in the following areas:

· Career: You’re employed but want to start your own business, maybe you want to go back to school and pursue a different career.

· Relationships: You’re single and want to be in a relationship, or you’re married and want to be divorced.

· Finances: Create a budget/savings plan or increase your current earnings.

· Health & Well Being: Create a workout routine or a plan to lose weight

· Fun & Play! Where would you like to travel that you haven’t been to before? Incorporate more play time into each day!

These are just a few examples of goals for the upcoming year. Design your blueprint to fit your needs and your life. And just as a blueprint goes through revisions, remember you can always make a few changes along the way.

Such a good post. I'll have to think about my blueprint for 2011. It helps to see it in print, I think. I like the freedom to make changes along the way.
