Community" Special Christmas Episode - Review

My favorite Christmas specials growing up were Rudolph and Santa Claus is Coming to Town. Watching these holiday classics was always a family tradition.
The popular show "Community" took the Stop Motion Animation idea and created a special Christmas episode - Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas.
The story line is Abed's search for the meaning of Christmas. His friends become concerned about his obsession and help or hinder his quest. NBC's "Community," is a smart comedy series about a band of misfits who attend Greendale Community College. Follow their journey to the meaning of Christmas.

When Abed (Danny Pudi) wakes up in stop-motion animation, he takes it as a sign that he and the group must re-discover the meaning of Christmas. Meanwhile, Jeff (Joel McHale) and Britta (Gillian Jacobs) become growingly concerned about Abed's mental health and enlist the help of Professor Duncan (John Oliver). The group undergoes hypnosis to explore Abed's winter wonderland and soon unravel the truth behind Abed’s madness. Chevy Chase, Yvette Nicole Brown, Donald Glover, and Ken Jeong also star.
I was excited  to preview Abed's Uncontrollable Christmas courtesy of Sony and One2One Network. It was so fun to watch. The imagination of the events is so interesting and it touches on several story lines from familiar Christmas classic shows. Each character is represented in Stop Motion Animation. The show is filled with  humor and sarcasm that is the "Community". Their is also friendship, caring and some  holiday fun. There are also songs included just like the holiday classics we love. The Stop Motion Animation really gave this show a felling of a Christmas Special! The Christmas gumdrop scene was my favorite!

The show airs this Thursday (12/9) at 8 pm EST/ 7pm CST on NBC. Check your local listings for channel. Don't miss it!
