Saturday was Race Day!

 

The kids and I ran a 5k Saturday morning. It was really fun! Chauncey came in 12th overall and 3rd in his age group. I think he was more excited about the box of cookies he won than the nice red hoodie we each got for running!

 

TThis was Sloan’s first 5k and she was awesome! We had to do a little walking to get her through it and I know she thought the finish line would never appear. I had fun helping her complete it. We didn’t place in the race, but like I told Sloan, we weren’t the lasts ones in!

I’ve been kind of lazy this year and this was my first race of the year. We have another on Thanksgiving day and one in December.
