White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

                    whitechocmac

Chauncey and I went to a garage sale the other day and they were selling White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies, so I bought him some. He said I could make some that would be better. So, I had to prove him right! I came up with these and he thought they were better than the ones we bought!

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

1 cup butter, softened

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

2 1/2 cups flour

1 teaspoon soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cup coarsely chopped macadamia nuts

1 1/2 cup  white chocolate chips

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl whisk the dry ingredients.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla and almond extracts. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually stir into the creamed mixture. Mix in the macadamia nuts and white chocolate. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake for 10 minutes in the preheated oven, or until golden brown.
