Praline Bars

If you like cheesecake then you'll love these bars! Oh, and they are pretty simple to make too! I love the little butter brickle bits in them, yum!

Praline Bars

3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 flour

Topping

2 80z packages cream cheese, room temperature
2 eggs
1/2 cup almond brickle chips
3 tablespoons caramel ice cream topping

Heat oven to 350 degrees.

In a mixer beat the butter, sugar and vanilla. Mix in the flour. Pat into pan and bake for 20~23 minutes or until lightly browned.

Topping

Beat the cream cheese, sugar, eggs and vanilla until thick and fluffy, blend in chips. Pour over crust. Dot top of cream cheese mixture with caramel topping. Cut through batter with a knife several times for a marble effect. Bake for 30 minutes. Cool in a pan on a wire rack. Refrigerate. Cut into bars.

We live in Chicagoland, but my son is off to LSU in one month for grad school. I made pralines for his graduation party. These look delightful too! Yummy!
