Monday, I have another giveaway for you!

I found this recipe in an old cookbook. My husband just loves them. They taste like caramel bars! Caramel and coconut go so well together.

Dream Bars

Base

1 cup butter
2 cup flour
1 cup brown sugar

Filling

2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 cups coconut

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 pan with Pam.

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in flour. Mixture will be crumbly. Pat into prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and make the filling.

For Filling

Mix all the ingredients in a mixer. Pour over crust. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.

mmmm...we love these! I never use the coconut and add chocolate chips instead. They never look appetizing, but they taste so good!

I missed the drawing, bummer. I'm in the market for new buisness cards. O-well. I snooze, I loose. :) Congrats to Cara and Jenn!
But I win getting this recipe. They look easy and delicious. I love coconut but would have to throw in a few chocolate chips just for good measure! :)
I Stumbled this post!
