Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies

I'm linking this post up with the DIY Show Off stop by DIY for more great projects!

Don't forget to sign up for my giveaway, you could win 500 business cards!

Today I'm linking up with Between Naps on The Porch for Metamorphosis Monday!

I pot this metal decorative pot at D.I. (second hand store) a while back. I loved the shape of it, but the colors had to change. I thought it would be great to put on the dresser by the door to put mail and things in.

I bought these little wooden knobs at Michael 's. I knew the legs (knobs) needed to be bigger. I thought my sweet hubby could just knock off the old ones and I could glue the new ones on. But, he told me they were metal and welded on. So he just re-drilled the holes bigger and we glued them on.

Then he painted the nice little pot black! I love black paint!

I ordered this nice little vinyl "H" monogram from my friend Kara, over at Creations by Kara. She has an Etsy store too, it's called Creations by Kara.

I thought it turned out pretty good! Be sure and check out what great projects others are up to over at Between Naps On The Porch!

I needed to take some cookies to a meeting at church last night. So, I got out my cookbooks and started looking. I decided to take something with peanut butter and chocolate because Sloan won't eat it when I make it for the family.

These turned out really well, and the ones I left at home were gobbled up. And, the platter I took to church were the first ones eaten! These have a nice mild milk chocolate flavor and then a yummy peanut butter frosting and a chocolate glaze. They really come together pretty fast.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownies

2 squares unsweetened chocolate, 1 oz each, I used 6 tablespoons cocoa powder
1 cup butter
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup flour

Frosting

3 cups powdered sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup butter
5 tablespoons or so milk

Glaze

1/2 cup chocolate chips
3 tablespoons butter, or enough to make it drizzle

For Brownies

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 pan with Pam.

In a bowl, melt the chocolate squares. If you're using cocoa, mix it and 3 tablespoons of the 1 cup of butter and melt it in the microwave for 30 seconds or so, and stir.

In a large bowl beat the sugar and butter until fluffy. Add the eggs and chocolate mixture and beat well. Mix in the flour. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool.

For Frosting

Beat all the frosting ingredients until fluffy. Spread over cooled brownies.

For Glaze

Melt chocolate chips and butter until smooth. Add more butter so it is easy to drizzle from a spoon. Drizzle over frosting.
