Another Giveaway, Work For Me Wednesday and Lemon White Chocolate Chip Cookies

Today I'm linking up with We Are That Family for Work For Me Wednesday.

I don't like to put a liner in my waste baskets (except my kitchen one), and I also hate to wash them out! So, I came up with a brilliant solution! I put them in my dishwasher every month or so! I have a swinging lid on my kitchen garbage and you wouldn't believe how dirty my kids get it, and on the inside! So, I stick it in the dishwasher too! I know, I'm lazy, but why scrub when you don't have too! I do wipe it off every day or so, but by the end of the month it's grunged again. So, it works for me!

The original recipe for these cookies called for macadamia nuts. I bought the ingredients for these cookies a couple of months ago, then I kept sneaking a few nuts here and there, and I ate them ALL! I have to confess, I love nuts! So I bought some more macadamia nuts, and somehow they dissapeared too. Then the other day I decided to make them so I bought some more nuts. Some how the can got opened and I ate a few, and over the next few days they all dissapeared! Do you see a pattern here? Well I asked the kids if they wanted the cookies with or without nuts, and they said without nuts. So I made them. They loved them. I tasted them and thought they were pretty good too! Yes even my chocoholic Sloan loved them. We'll be making these again!

Lemon White Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 lemon cake mix
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

In a mixer mix the cake mix, eggs and butter. Add the white chocolate chips and mix until evenly mixed.

Drop with a cookie scoop onto cookie sheets and bake for 12-13 minutes. Let sit on cookie sheet for 3 minutes, then remove to cool on cookie racks.

There's a huge giveaway over at The DIY Show Off.

I have the same kind of trash can. I can totally relate and I love your idea of running it through the dishwasher -- why not? It sterilizes it too. Why don't you stop by my blog and link your post to my boardwalk bragfest? It's my first one and anyone is allowed to come on in and simply brag about something that they have made, cooked, read, written, or saved on. We'll all join in tomorrow and brag. You could also brag about this marvelous giveaway!!!

2nd entry -

What can't you find at the CSN store?

I love all the diaper bags and nursery themes. (Even though I'm officially out of the baby stage - after 10 years.)
