Dutch Oven Potatoes


This is one of Chauncey's favorites! He came in the kitchen to help me, he even put on an apron! This is pretty easy, and I've even done the whole thing on top of the stove. I've just stirred and covered the potatoes until they're crispy and well cooked, then just add the cheese and stir in and let it cook a little more.

Dutch Oven Potatoes

1 lbs potatoes, scrubbed
1 lb bacon, chopped
2 cups cheddar cheese, grated


Brown the bacon in the dutch oven on the stovetop.



Cube the potatoes and add to the dutch oven.

Cover the dutch oven and cook in the oven for 1 hour at 325 degrees.

Open the dutch oven and sprinkle with the cheese, stir into the potatoes.
