An Early Morning Run and Cream Cheese PinWheels

Don't forget to sign up for my giveaway, you could win 500 Business Cards! You can find all the details HERE!

Chauncey and I are going on a gorgeous run today! It's the first day of the kid's Spring Break. So I guess we get a little break! lol We might even take the dogs, they have so much fun on a trail! We'll go through here. Makes you want to come along, huh?

This isn't so pretty, but it's something we needed (More Power Lines) (Gotta have power). They did put in a bunch of dirt roads to get to the poles, so it will be fun to run on them when they're done working on the poles. We'll go up the mountain so we won't have to look at the poles.

We could play on the swing that Sloan found along the lower part of the trail. I haven't gotten to try it out yet!

We'll go past patches of snow! Up higher there will be enough to throw a few snow balls!

We'll go past the creek, pretty, huh! I love to hear the water flowing in the creek!

We could stop and throw rocks in the creek and play in it like the dogs did on our last hike. That's our friends English Sheep dog in the middle. Her name is Bella and our dog Seamus just loves to play with her. He's wearing his coat in this picture. He thinks he's just as big as her! Funny dog! I don't think I want to put my feet in the creek, it's still really cold, think melting mountain snow!

Did I make you want to come with us? I love a morning run up the mountain, it's my favorite way to start the day, and it's even better when I get to share it! Now that we got a little exercise we can think about FOOD! lol

I can't remember where I found the recipe for these, so if they are yours, please let me know. These little puffs are WONDERFUL! I made them for our Easter brunch and they were a big hit. They go together really fast and if you make them I dare you to eat just one! Ok, I double dog dare you!

Cream Cheese Pinwheels

1 tub whipped cream cheese
1 loaf of good quality white bread
1/2 cup butter, melted in a small bowl
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Mix cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.

Cut the crusts off the bread and cut each slice in half. I just stack up about 10 slices of bread and
cut the crusts off of each side, then I cut the whole stack in half. Spread each slice with cream cheese and roll up, dip in butter and roll in the cinnamon and sugar and put on the cookie sheet. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until crispy and brown.
