Today's Wednesday! Where did the first half of the week go? Today I wanted to share a little tip I've found that has worked really well for me. Do you ever go to church or somewhere in a dress and it's clinging to your backside? I hate it when that happens. I stumbled upon an instant easy cure to this years ago by accident. Just put on some hand lotion and rub your hands on your backside, legs or where ever it's clinging. It's ok if you have tights on or hose. It has always worked for me and I've never had to reapply it. So that's my Work's For Me Wednesday tip. Be sure and stop by Rocks In My Dryer to read some other great ideas!
I was so excited to see the sun yesterday! I hung out some clothes and they dried! Yay, spring is coming!
Yesterday morning Sloan asked me if I'd make some chocolate chip cookies. I told her that that's the cookie that she usually asks for. She said I know, it's my favorite! I said do you know how many different kind of chocolate chip cookie recipes I've made lately? She said nope. I said a lot! I could go count them, but, then again, I could just try another recipe instead! I found this one the other day over at Sister's Stuff and they gave it a nice simple title Best Chocolate Chip Cookies. Made me want to try them, well, that and the conversation I had with Sloan!
This recipe makes a nice big batch so you can bake a few sheets and put the rest in the fridge. Just watch out, because cookie dough has a way of disappearing in the fridge!
These cookies are great, a little moist and a little crunchy. It is a keeper! Oops, but the cookies don't keep!
Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups butter (3/4 of a lb.) (at room temp.)
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 1/4 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups flour
2 cups chocolate chips
Heat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl whisk the dry ingredients.
In a mixer beat the brown sugar, sugar and butter for 3-4 minutes. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the dry ingredients. Add the chocolate chips. Scoop onto cookie sheet with a cookie scoop. Bake for 12-14 minutes.

Hi, I'm a little like your daughter always looking for the next Chocolate Chip Cookie. I have a question, how much is 3 cubes of butter in weight?
Nicky,
I readjusted the butter amount for you!
