I sang a funny song for her and changed the way my voice sounded to make it even funnier. It was very easy to set up my phone package and record my greeting. I had the option to use the pre-made email text that VoiceQuilt provides to send out email invitations to invite my family to call in and leave a message for my daughter, but I opted to just leave my own speical messages for her.
I found it pretty easy to use the VoiceQuilt website to set up and organize the messages that I called in, and it was nice to be able to rearrange the order, listen to the messages, and label them all. The Idea Center on VoiceQuilt was very helpful, as it encourages users to not just say "Happy Birthday", but to talk about a memory, leave a tribute, recite a poem, or even sing a song for the recipient.
