This is an amazing chocolate ship cookie recipe! I’ve made them twice with chocolate chips and once with butterscotch chips. I made two changes for the butterscotch chips and I noted it on the recipe. Chauncey made these the last time and he didn’t use a mixer, just a wooden spoon. They mix up really fast and easy because the butter is melted.
Another Perfect Chocolate Chip Cookie

1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, melted

1/2 cup white sugar, for butterscotch make this brown sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla
1 egg, 1 egg yolk
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips or butterscotch chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. Whisk the dry ingredients in a bowl.
In a mixer beat the butter and sugars. Add the egg, egg yolk and vanilla. Beat in the dry ingredients and the chocolate chips. Drop with a cookie scoop onto cookie sheets. Bake 12-13 minutes. Cool on wire racks.
