Apple Charlotte and old family recipe!

This is an old family favorite recipe. My guys just love it! I made this for one of our Easter Brunch dishes. It is super simple and fast to make.

Apple Charlotte

2- 16 oz jars of applesauce
1 loaf white bread
1/2 cup butter, melted
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Heat oven to 350. Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl.

Cut the crusts of the bread and cut in half. Dip one side of each slice of bread in the melted butter and arrange on the bottom and up the sides of the casserole dish. Pour in the applesauce, top with more butter dipped bread. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake for 30-45 minutes or until top is golden. Serve with whipped cream.

Be sure and stop by Tip Junkie and check out the Spring Fling, there will be GIVEAWAYS!

I've never heard of this recipe. It sounds wonderful. Butter, fruit, sugar, whipped cream. You can't go wrong with those ingredients!

Carol, This recipe looks fabulous and is so easy. Wouldn't this taste great with ham. But I'd even eat it for breakfast! I would also love to drizzle a little vanilla cream over it. Yummy. Thanks for this easy keeper recipe!
It was nice to visit your wonderful blog.
