Chocolate Chunk Blonde Brownies
I love to make bar cookies, they are so quick and easy! I've made Blondie's before, but this is a new recipe I wanted to try. I love the way the top of these look and taste. They are a little lighter than my Penuche Squares. I made these to take to our Young Women's Christmas party last night. As I was cutting them up my son and husband were eating them. They loved them and so did the young women!
Chocolate Chunk Blonde Brownies
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
8 oz chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with Pam.
In a bowl whisk all the flour, salt and baking powder. In a mixer beat the brown sugar, sugar and butter for 2 minutes. Beat in the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the dry ingredients until just mixed. Fold in the chips by hand. Spoon into the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30 minuutes. When cool cut into bars.
