Chewy Peanut Butter Bars
This is a great treat, it combines three great flavors, peanut butter, coconut and chocolate. Don't worry each flavor is light so it doesn't overpower the others! It's very rich and filling, so you only need a small piece! I love bar cookies when I want to make a quick treat!
Chewy Peanut Butter Bars
1 cup flour
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup cold butter
Filling
2 eggs
1/2 cup corn syrup
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chocolate chips
Heat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine the flour and the brown sugar; cut in the butter until crumbly. Press into a 9x13 inch pan sprayed with Pam. Bake for 14-16 minutes.
In the same bowl mix the other ingredients with a wooden spoon until thoroughly mixed. Poor onto crust and bak for another 15-20 minutes. Cool and cut into bars.
